Finally got it done, I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that the landing gear would be going in – and now it’s officially installed. The front gear is mounted, and the main gear is also on and mostly adjusted for toe-in, toe-out, and alignment. The aircraft is now fully supported by the gear, not resting on the jig. Since we’re in North Carolina, we’ve got the Carolina Squat going on! If you’ve never been to North or South Carolina, you might be wondering what that is – but in this case, it means we’re sitting at the maximum takeoff angle possible before the props or tail would hit. So for anyone wondering, yes – you’ve got plentyyyyy of takeoff angle. We’re making great progress, and the plane should be looking flight-ready by Sun ‘n Fun.
