We tested the strength of our new landing gear leg, and we reached 628 kg without breaking the sample. After 568 kg the bracket started to deform and the displacement got bigger with less load so we stopped the test. (used the 2 place gear, we will have stronger one for 4 place plane). Now all we have to do is a drop test with the gear on the plane, and hen we do the drop test – we expect it to be able to up the useful load to 1800 lbs for our 4 place plane. The sandbag test already showed us this was possible with spar.
